Installation
============
Run installer, nothing else.

What's the point?
=================
BASS MPP is an XM/IT/S3M/MOD/MTM/UMX/MO3 player for Windows
9x/Me/NT/2K/XP. It's got the best (most accurate to FT2) XM reproduction
to be heard from any player. All features/effects (including several
FT2 quirks) are 100% supported. The IT reproduction is also
practically balls-on, with full support for all effects/NNA/DCA/filters etc...

Requirements
============
BASS MPP requires DirectX 3 or above, so it not only works with Windows
95/98/Me/2000/XP, but also Windows NT 4.0 (with service pack 4). BASS does
not require that a soundcard with DirectSound/DirectSound3D hardware
accelerated drivers is installed, but it does improve performance if
there is one. BASS also takes advantage of MMX acceleration, which
improves the performance of the MOD music playback.

Version History
===============
2.1.1 [2005-03-27]
- Added some checks to verify that the original module player plugin
exists and that Bass hasn't been renamed to take it's place.
- Installer now has nifty new look.
- If a song has a title that is empty title, the filename is now displayed.
- Chag HaMatzot Sameach (yes, we karaites use the original
observational calendar, so we do celebrate it now. I'm not dizzy
  from long programming sessions.

2.1.0 [2005-03-18]
- Completely rewritten from scratch, using pure C, more than a year and a half
after I originally intended to do it (watch below, version 1.8.1).
It's basically a completely different player now, so all bugs should
be removed by now, I'm especially referring to the annoying error
pop-ups when trying to open a faulty mod.
- Updated to BASS 2.1
- Seek is now available in real time, so pattern/row time is no longer
available, if anyone misses it I can implement it again.
- Added software mixing playback option.
- Added Stop back-jump playback option. If enabled this will stop the
music when a backward jump effect is played. This stops musics that
never reach the end from going into endless loops. Some MOD musics are
designed to jump all over the place, so this flag would cause those to
  be stopped prematurely.
- Added 2 surround sound options.
- "View file info..." now uses the standard in_mod.dll Module Info dialog.

2.0.0 [2003-10-31]
- Updated to BASS 2.0
- Due to changes in BASS you might have to change output device in the
  BASS MPP Configuration window.
- Happy Halloween

1.8.1 [2003-06-19]
- Updated to BASS 1.8a
- Fixed a bug that did reset the volume to 100 and set pan to center when a
  module started playing.
- Fixed a similar bug that played the first mod at volume 100 and pan center.
- Fixed scaling bug in pan.
- Those bugs occurred due to the fact that BASS is initialized every time a mod
starts to play, and if it wasn't initialized it couldn't change the pan and
volume. The solution is a humongously ugly hack. But what the hell, there
are a lot of things I would like to change in BASS MPP (no offense Malte),
like using pure C instead of the huge, bloated, hack-ridden monster C++.
But I have better things to do in my life (or so I like to think.)
  Perhaps in another version.
- Happy mid-summers eve.

1.8.0 [2003-04-21]
- Updated to BASS 1.8
- BASS.dll version check now checks for version 1.8 OR higher
- Can automatically rename in_mod.dll to in_mod.bak at install
  (if you choose to)
- Compiled with MinGW
- Happy birthday brother :)

1.3.0 [2001-12-08]
- win98 file info bug fixed

1.2.1 [2001-10-07]
- code completely rearranged in c++
- additional playlist information (file info, song length) are now supported
- PIMP installer used

1.2.0
- can display the length of a module in seconds

0.9.0
- volume ramping bug fixed

0.8.4
- time mode selection added
